The BRK SMI100-AC is a hardwired, ionization-type smoke alarm designed for reliable fire detection in homes, apartments, and commercial spaces. It uses 120V AC power with a 9V backup battery to maintain protection during power outages. The alarm features a test/silence button, latching indicator to show which unit was triggered, and interconnection capability so that if one alarm goes off, all connected alarms sound for early warning. Built to meet UL-217 8th Edition standards, it helps reduce nuisance false alarms while maintaining rapid detection of fast flaming fires.
